Siužetinės Linijos Aprašymas
In the US healthcare system, physicians experience having incomplete or inaccurate medication lists from patients which can lead to adverse drug events for patients. This is partial due to a lack of patient knowledge that all doctors need to be aware of all medications, including OTC and supplements (vitamins, herbal, etc.).
Julia and I are working with Cayuga Health Partners in Tompkins, Skylar, and Cortland counties to create three products: (1) a joint medication list, which patients can carry and provided to physicians to help maintain up-to-date medication records; and (2-3) separate, population-specific products to increase awareness of and knowledge on how to use medication lists. I am targeting adults 18 years to 50 years with few to no known medical conditions to explain the benefits of maintaining a medication list to address the barriers of perceived susceptibility and preconceived attitudes that they are only for older populations. The comic will reinforce the message by being both eye-catching and providing an opportunity for observational learning.
Note for draft: Box 4 will have the picture of the actual medication template on the screen once that is completed.
Questions

- Is the comic visually and emotionally engaging?
- Is the language natural and appealing?
- Are there any confusing elements?
