In Cos, a Greek island, Hippocrates was born in 460 BC. He worked as a doctor and later on, taught future doctors. He played a very important role in Ancient Greek medicine.
He created the hippocratic corpus, a collection of his writings an teachings. The collection had 70 books, and were in use for hundreds of years, they included illnesses and their symptoms
Hippocrates created and popularized the Theory of the Four Humors.It was influenced by the four elements, air, water, fire and earth, and were believed to be the 4 fluids that make a human. And if they were inbalanced, they would make the person fall ill.
