Did you ever see yourself going to the military after high school growing up?
Absolutely not. I was in JROTC, but I never saw myself actually joining. At the age of 19and two years after graduating high school, I knew I still needed guidance and money for college to become "successful," so I took the leap.
I had mixed emotions. JROTC is obviously different than the real Army. I did not know what to expect. I was the first woman in my family to join the military, but I also understood that I needed to make a sacrifice for my future. I took the bet and it was the best decision I made for my life.
What was enrolling into the army like were you scared?
What does constantly moving around the country make you feel?
really enjoyed and actually miss looking forward to a new adventure.
Who's your favorite child?
It is unbiblical to have favorites. Both of my children are my greatest blessings. They are both different and have their own strengths and challenges, but I would not have it any other way. They have both made me grow in different areas of my life
