The Cell Theory consists of three principles: - All living things are composed of cells.- Cells are the basic units of life.- Cells come from other cells.
Many people in history helped developed this theory.

Contribution:Brown discovered the nucleus in the cell.
Robert Brown

1804-1881
Contribution:Schwann proposed the cell theory, stating that all plant and animal tissues are composed of cells. Also that all cells in an organism are identical.
Theodor Schwann
1810-1882
Contribution:Virchow made it more clear that diseases occur at the cellular level. He came to this conclusion using the theory that all cells come from pre-existing cells.
