  • April 1935, The Great Depression has ruined the economy of Western Canada, relief camps have sprung up across rural BC, but their conditions are horrible, and some are contemplating taking action against it.
  • This work camp sucks, we get paid almost nothing while we break our backs making roads for cars that aren't running.
  • I agree! But the overseers aren't going to listen to us, why don't we take this to Bennett.
  • The protestors have planned to speak to Prime Minister Bennett, but first they must plan the logistics of the trek, they decide to ride the tops of trains to reach Ottawa and then demand to speak to Bennett about his governments tackling of unemployment and his half-hearted attempts on solving the unemployment crisis.
  • We are going to Ottawa! Bennett will listen to us whether he wants to or not! We will not take no for an answer!
