- They did not live happily ever after because the land has been desertified due to removal of trees, overgrazing, and overpopulation. The consequences are lack of food because there is no water or soil for it to grow, and also the land is now very dry. The reason removal of trees contributes to desertification is because it makes it more vulnerable to soil erosion, defertilising the ground. Overgrazing is quite similar, but with grass and other animals. Overpopulation is problematic because there are not enough resources for all the people that live there. To conclude, the aforelisted actions cause desertification, which does not end well. Do not do those things because it will ruin things.
