- After that, the food will pass though the pharynx but also not just the food passes through here, because this is a passageway for food and air.
- Well, digestive occurs in sequence, before it goes down in our stomach there are still parts of our body that it passes through.
- First, the food will pass through our mouth where breakdown of food occurs, in addition this can be mechanical or chemical.
- But always remember that small intestine have 3 parts which are duodenum, jejunum and lastly the ileum that leads to large intestine with 3 parts also such as: ascending, transverse and descending colon.
- After the pharynx, it will lead to esophagus and cardiac sphincter down to the stomach for chemical and mechanical digestion.
- After digesting the food it will go to pyloric sphincter passes to small intestine for breaking down the food further.
