  • A captain tells the King Duncan of Scotland of how the general Macbeth turned the tides of a battle and defeated Macdonwald. The King decides to make Macbeth Thane of Cawdor as a reward.After the Battle Macbeth and Banquo meet three witches. In their greetings they call Macbeth Thane of Cawdor and the future King. They tell Banquo that his children shall be kings. Once Macbeth becomes thane of Cawdor he tells Lady Macbeth of the witches prophecy.He also tells her King Duncan will be staying at their castle and they have a feast. Lady Macbeth plots to kill the King and Macbeth agrees.
  • Macbeth talks with Banqou about the prophecy internally Macbeth is freaking out about his descison to kill the King. When Macbeth does stab the King he is overcome with grief and regret, once Lady Macbeth sees the body for herself she is too overcome with emotions. In the morning while Macbeth is talking with Lennox, Macduff discovers the King's body. Alarming the castle, everyone goes to view the body including the King's sons who decide they must flee to stay safe. All the men agree they will bring who ever killed the King to justice. After, right before Macbeth is crowned- Macduff an old man and Ross speak about the strange weather and their suspicions of who killed the King.
  • Now that Macbeth is King, Banqou's part of the prophecy plague his mind. He decides to have Banquo and his son killed so he may never take the throne. He sends three killers to do the deed when Banqou rides out at night. The murders kill Banquo but his son Fleance escapes. Macbeth has a banquet to celebrate his crowning but is haunted but Banquo's ghost. He goes on a mad ramble that prompts Lady Macbeth to send the guests away. Later Lennox and a Lord talk, they are suspicious of Macbeth.
  • Macbeth wants confirmation on whther or not his kids will be Kings, he wants to know more about his prophecy so he goes to the witches. They perform a ritual involving many ingredients and a cauldron that result in three apparitions that each tell Macbeth something. He is told not to trusts Macduff, he will not be deafeted unless the Birname woods move to Dunisans, and that no person born from woman can harm him. After demanding for more, he is shown images of Banqou and his kids in crown. He is maddened. He finds out that Macduff has left the castle and regrets not having killed him sooner, he orders Macduffs whole home killed and burned. Macduff's wife and Ross speak about Macduff's disappearance. While his wife is upset Ross tries to console her. After Ross leaves Macduff's wife and son and whole household are murdered Macduff talks with Malcolm to convince him to fight for Scotland and take the crown from Macbeth, Malcolm reveals that was his plan all along. Ross later arrives and tells Macduff his household has been murdered.
  • Lady Macbeth is found sleepwalking by the doctor, in her sleep she talks about all the bad deeds her and Macbeth have committed. The Doctor states he can not help her only God can because her problems are mental. Outside Englands soldiers await in the woods with Malcolm and Macduff. Macbeth is not worried because he belives he can not be defeated unless the woods moves towards the castle. Meanwhile the soldiear are instructed to use the branches from the trees to disguise them as they move unknowingly acheiving the loophole in the first apparition.
  • In the very beginnings of the battle while Macbeth begin preparing, Lady Macbeth goes mad and kills herself. Macbeth then decides his life is meaningless with her gone. He goes on to fight fearlessly for he believes no man can harm him, he kills young Siward. Macduff finds him and the two battle. Macduff reveals he was not born from his mother naturally which would allow him to be able to kill Macbeth. Malcolm is to be crowned king and he declares he will make his Thanes and kinsmen the first earls of Scotland.
