- The British and Colonists fought in a war against the French and Indians. The British fought this war to sercure the land in North America. This war lasted 7 years and led Britain to become broke.
- Boston Tea Party
- British Parliament decided to tax the Colonists on goods to get out the debt that they obtained from the war. The tax acts placed on them were the stamp,sugar, and tea acts.
- Intolerable Acts
- Ok we will punish the Colonsts for what they did. We will make them follow 5 rules to make sure this never happens again
- We need to punish the Colonists for what they did.
- Americans soon find out about the taxes that was placed on them. They get mad because they didnt get any representation on the decision in British parliament.
- Revolutionary War
- On the night of December 16,1776 people from the Sons of Liberty dressed up like Indians to sneak onto a British ship carrying tea. They dumped 342 chest of tea into the Boston Harbor, because Britain made a deal with the East India Company to sell cheap tea to the Colonists.
- After the events of the Boston Tea Party the British placed the Intolerable Acts on the Colonists. These were 5 rules placed on the Colonists to make sure nothing like the Boton Tea Party never happend again.

- Halfway through 1775, the Colonists had enough. They wanted to break free from Britain. This war between the Colonists and Britain lasted 8 years and by the end of it the Colonist were free from Britain and now in a new country called the United States of America.
