  • Oh hello Professor Kent!
  • Oh, Jin, it appears that a typhoon is approaching; why are you still outside?
  • I was advised to go get some bread, but the strong wind prevents me from crossing the road.
  • Oh, let's get inside my house, it's getting scary outside.
  • Oh good question Jin.
  • Professor, can i ask some question? How to typhoon develop?
  • When winds blow into sections of the ocean where the water is warm, a typhoon forms. While colder air moves in below, these breezes absorb moisture and climb. This builds pressure, causing the winds to pick up speed. Wind speed also determines the storm's categorization once it becomes a typhoon.
  • Typhoons start off as tropical thunderstorms. The strong winds pull in moisture from the oceans.
  • All the heat and air flow toward the eye creating the typhoon
  • The thunderstorms convert the moisture into heat. The heat causes more air to flow to the centre of the storm causing evaporation.
  • And that's how a typhoon is developed.
  • Thank you, Professor; I learned a lot about typhoons from you.
  • Josh Cedric E. Bentoy 8 Sampaguita
