- Monsieur Loisel gives Mathilde a invitation to a ball but she doesn't want it because she doesn't have anything nice to wear.
- I LOST YOUR NECKLACE!!!!!!!
- Her husband gives her some money for a nice dress but it is the money he been saving up so he can go hunting with his friends. Then she goes to her friend Madame Forestier for a necklace because she didn't have any jewelry either.
- Mathilde attended the party and had the best time of her life. She drew everyone's attention. Then she leaves and go home and she realized that she lost the necklace.
- Mathilde told Madame Forestier that she'd return the necklace later. The Loisel's found a similar necklace to the one she lost. Her husband took the money he inherited from his father and borrowed the rest.
- They had to pay off the debt off so Mathilde had to do all the housework while her husband worked more. Ten years later they paid it of. Then Mathilde lost her good looks and seemed old.
- Mathilde approach Madame and said how she bought another necklace that look exactly like the one she lost and how it taken 10 years for her to pay of the debt and Madam was shocked and told her it was fake.
