  • The colonists liked tea.It was there favorite drink. When Britain put a new tax on tea, they decided not to drink it any more. They did not think Britain had the right to tax them.
  • Stamp Act-1765-
  • From 1754 to 1763 France and Great Britain fought each other in the French and Indian War. The war was part of a bigger war called The Seven Years.
  • Sugar Act-1764-
  • Tea Act,[1773], in British American colonial history,legislative maneuver by the British ministry of Lord North to make English tea marketable in America. The tea was dumped.
  • Town-Shed Act-1767-
  • The French and Indian War [1754-1763] doubled the debt of the British government and at the same time greatly increased British possessions in America. The British stationed their troops.
  • The British parliament passed the sugar act in 1764. It provided for a strongly enforced tax on sugar, molasses, and other products imported into the American colonies from non-British.
  • The Town-shed Acts were four laws, passed by the British parliament in 1767, that angered colonists in North America. Like the Stamp Act and other Acts the Town- shed Act saved the AR.
