Climax
A village in New England during the early 1900s. Set in the past from a third person view. With Mrs. Hutchinson as the protagonist and the Lottery as the antagonist contributing to the theme of traditions.
Falling Action
The boys gather the stones and the town gathers around. Every head family member picks a piece of paper. The Hutchinson family "wins"
Resolution
Mrs. Hutchinson receives the paper with the black dot. She is decided the "winner". She goes to the stone area.
Villagers gather around the stone area. Everyone grabs rocks. Even the Hutchinson family has to throw rocks.
People start throwing rocks. The rocks start hitting Mrs. Hutchinson. Eventually she is stoned to death.
