- Cat had no choice. She had used all of her energy to find Alwin. If she did not bring him back now, she would never get another chance to do it again. She had to fight to make up for not fighting for John all those years ago. All of a sudden Ayden charged at Cat and the fight was on. Cat received blow after blow from Ayden’s punches. Ayden was so much bigger that Cat. Cat didn’t stand a chance against Ayden, but she tried anyway.

- Just when all hope seemed lost, Alwin yelled…. And held up his slingshot loaded with a rock that he always kept on him for an emergency like this.. Alwin was a stud with his slingshot. He never missed his target. Ayden knew that Alwin was a sharp shot with the slingshot and he became nervous. …. Ayden commanded. Alwin did not put it down. Ayden repeated …. Again Alwin did not put it down. Ayden lunged at Alwin to take away the slingshot, but as he lunged, Alwin shot the rock at his target and hit it. The target was Ayden’s eye. Ayden screamed out in pain. Alwin quickly went to Cat to help her up and to help her escape. They ran out the door and kept going until they could run no more. They never saw Ayden again.

- Both of them also had their own weaknesses. Some weaknesses of Cat was that she was very timid around other people and was very selfish, only caring about herself. John’s weaknesses were that he could not read, count, or write.
- Even though Cat was hurt very badly, she had never felt better in her life. Her guilt that she had been carrying for all of those years finally had gone away. She had finally made up for not helping John all those years ago. Because Alwin’s family was dead, Cat decided to have him be a part of her family. Cat and Alwin took a plane back to Cat’s home in California. AJ was so very happy and excited that Cat was back home. From then on Cat, AJ, and Alwin became a family and lived happily ever after.
