Queen Jacosta and King Laios of Thebes give birth to a child who will supposedly kill the king and marry his mother according to a prophecy. Therefore, the son is given to a shepherd to be killed, but the shepherd gives him to a family, which name him Oedipus
Oedipus grows older, and finds out about the prophecy, so he leaves town. On the road, he meets a man and they battle, but Oedipus kills the man
Odeipus comes across the city of Thames, and upon entering, he is met with a Sphinx. The Sphinx gives him a riddle and if he answers correctly he can go into the city, and he ends up answering it correctly.
Upon entering, Oedipus is given the chance to marry the queen and become the king of Thebes, due to the recent passing of the king. Together, him and the queen have 4 children
Years later, a plague falls onto the city and Odeipus finds out he did fulfill the prophecy by killing his dad and marrying his mom. He gets banished from Thebes, and the Queen commits suicide
Odeipus's sons decide to have a joint rule over Thebes, but eventually they become power hungry and kill each other for power. Their sisters watch in shock as only one brother is rightfully buried.
