  • Chris
  • Hi, my name is Chris, and today I will be exploring which sport I want to tryout for.
  • Basketball
  • First is basketball. I like basketball, but I'm not so sure how good it will be if run by the players.
  • Baseball
  • Next is baseball, which is my favorite sport. I love pitching and I like how the team is ran.
  • Chris is having trouble deciding which sport he wants to tryout for, and each sport at his school is run a little differently.
  • Football
  • Next is football. In football here, which I am not too sure about because it seems a little rough.
  • Basketball at his school is the equivalent to a market economy. The players control almost everything with the team with little regulation from the coach, just like how a market economy is with the people and the government.
  • Soccer
  • The baseball team is the equivalent to a mixed economy. The players and the coaches both have input on decisions, just like how it is between the government and the people in a mixed economy.
  • Decision
  • Final decison:baseball
  • In the football team here, the coaches run and control everything. They tell players what to do and when to do it and they have to obey. This is just like a command economy because the government (coach) controls everything.
  • Soccer at his school is like the traditional economy. It is run the way it always has been, normal coaching and drills and stuff.
  • My last option is soccer, I really like the sport but it seems kind of boring at times.
  • He chose baseball because it is his favorite sport and he likes the way that they run it the best, which was the equivalent to the mixed economy (the most balanced one).
