- Art is made with the intention of causing a reaction within people, whether it be a positive or a negative reaction. If artists didn't try to have this effect, art would feel pointless.
- Art censorship is starting to become a pretty big issue. Although art can be offensive, art should cause a reaction in people, art can be educational, and freedom of expression is needed for individuality.
- Most of the art the public is trying to censor is historical art or art with political meaning. This is not only problematic because people are trying to censor historical events, but because the public shouldn't be told what to feel. Whether they feel bad or good things when looking at artwork, what they think about the piece is their opinion.
- Lastly, freedom of expression is needed for individuality. While freedom of expression is not always the best, society needs expression to continue moving. If everyone thought the same way, everyone would live very dull lives. Artists shouldn't be afraid of the viewers opinion on their piece. It's interesting to see what artists can create no matter what side of the matter you take.
