- Plato's Allegory of the Cave
- 3 prisoners were chained in a cave since birth. They could only see the wall and the reflections of the people coming behind them from the fire. They thought this was their reality
- One prisoner broke free. He was astonished. He rushed out of the cave to see his new reality
- It took him time to get adjusted to the light and the new environment, because his whole life he lived in darkness. When he was better, he touched, sensed, trees, leaves etc. He though it was a miracle.
