- Pope Urban || brought Christians together declaring the mission to conquer the holy land starting the Crusades.

- They began their long journey to the holy land this journey could take up to three years.
- The Third Crusade
- They fought for about a month for the holy land. Muslim army was found highly disorganized leading to the Europeans conquering the Holy Land. Mainly Peasants Fought.
- The Fourth Crusade

- If you conquer Zara for us
- The whole entire idea of taking the land failed because it was horribly planned out and not thought through. There were bad losses and it was a total failure.
- FAIL
- The German king died leaving only the English king there. The English king Richard was against the leader of the Muslim army Saladin. They fought for a while and Richard took control over a couple city's but when the crusades ended the land was still with the Muslim's.
- The French knights were short on money and could not pay for the voyage overseas to the holy land so they asked the Venetians for payment. They had to conquer Zara for the Venetians for the money.
