- hello my name is Emma and today I will be talking about gender inequality and feminism. What is feminism? Feminism is the advocacy of woman's rights and equal rights for all.
- What is gender equality? Gender equality is just as it sounds, the equality of genders. For a very long time there has been gender inequality all over the world. For example did you know that 16 million girls will never set foot in a classroom compared with 8 million boys.
- Many girls are denied access to school. One way you can help is by donating to companies that are helping girls get educated.
- This is my character and she is talking about gender equality. She is in the street to talk because she will be walking around.
- She is at the park and she is giving facts because she wants people to understand how serious the problem is. She wants people to feel bad.
- She wants people to help so she is telling them how in hopes that they actually will help.
- She is talking about gender stereotypes and how they are wrong.
- Did you know that things like colors and sports are gender stereotyped. Many people believe that blue is a boy color when in fact it used to be believed that blue was for girls. Colors and sports should not have gender roles.
- She is talking about the different things countries are doing to improve their gender equality.
- Gender inequality is a huge issue all over the world but many countries are working to decrease the gender pay gap and get all of their citizens educated.
