- I'm scared to go through. There are rumors the forests are haunted.
- Come on! Do you want to be left behind? We need to hustle!!
- The American Shepard was a once a very common dog found in the Great Plains and Northern forests of America. They lived happily in their peaceful meadows of bliss.
- So.. this is Alaska? What are we supposed to do? There are no flowers to eat or grass to lay in...
- I'm so cold... and tired...
- When the Great Fire of 1505 struck the meadow, the American Shepards were forced to leave their homeland, or they would risk dying. At least half of the population perished in this huge fire.#160;
- TIME SKIP
- You guys are SUCH easy prey...
- look, we blend into the snow... or at least more than our parents did
- The remaining population was forced to run through the terrifying forests of Canada in order to survive and escape the fire. The Shepards had no idea where this would lead them.
- I'm so happy we adapted to survive.
- The forests ended in a mysterious place called Alaska, where the Shepards had never been before. They were very cold and had no idea how to hunt for food or create a new life in this environment.
- Many Shepards died from the cold, but even more died due to being such easy prey for surrounding predators. As a result, the remaining population tried to find ways to positively adapt to their environment.
- Yeah!!
- Currently, the American Shepards are thriving in Alaska and living happily once more. They were renamed huskies due to their white coat, an adapted trait that lets them blend in with the snow. This white coat allows them to stay safe from any predators and live freely again.
