Introduction:In 1644 Nicolas Perrot was welcomed to the world of France.
Early Life:As a boy Nicolas learned many Native American languages. He was among the first french traders who worked, with Native Americans around Green Bay.
Lives Work:In 1670, Governor Frontena sent Nicolas on a journey that claimed the upper Mississippi. In 1671 Nicola came back and soon married Madeleine Rclot. Nicolas earned a fur trading licenses and had eleven healthy children.
Later Years In 1683, Governor Lefebvre de-la barre told Nicolas to go to the great lakes and develop trading expeditions. In 1696 all trading licences were taken away so Nicolas returned home.
Contributions:Nicolas Perrot died August 13 1717 at the age of 74 and was buried in his Church in Quebec.
