- Aunt Mei Lu, as a Chinese parent, doesn't like the idea of having a big, black Brazilian daughter in law. Mei Lu thinks her skin color is associated with evil. Carlos also soon informed them that Consuelo was a healer.

- Soon after a while, during the party, they were told that Aunt Mei Lu was rushed to the hospital because of a stroke.
- Resolution
- Consuelo offered to help heal Mei Lu and told everyone to leave the room. She successfully healed her with her skills, and said again, “You will live”.
- After 5 days, Manuel showed up with ashes and announced that Consuelo had departed when her physical body could no longer stand the strain after saving Aunt Mei Lu. They mourned after her death.
- In the end, Manuel bids goodbye to Carlos and goes back to the Amazon to make good of his remaining life for Consuelo.
