- Odysseus and his crew get trapped in the Cyclops Cave by a boulder. and meet Polyphemus. When Polyphemus asked about Odysseus´s ship Odysseus lie and said that Poseidon had destroyed his ship feeling no pity Polyphemus picks 2 of his men to eat. Odyessus goes to attack but stops himself because that would result in everybody´s death.

- Odysseus gathered 4 of his men to make a plan on escape this island. Odyessus chopped a piece of lumber and had his men smooth out the pole to make a stake. They would use this stake on Polyphemus eye.
- Later that day, Odysseus offers Polyphemus some wine that he had bought on the journey. Polyphemus drank tons of the wine and fell alsleep and Odyessus took that as any opportunity to strike.
- Polyphemus removes the boulder and Odysseus and his men make their escape by hiding under rams. They are succesful and continue their journey.
- After Odyessus´s team stab Polymphemus he cries for help. When Cyclops come to ask what happened Polymphemus said that ¨nohbody´s tricked me¨so they didn´t help him assuming that he wasn´t hurt since ¨nohbody¨ tricked him.
- Xenia isn´t expected of everybody even when it´s the polite thing to do.
