For our assignment, research about the different types of the blood vessels and their function.
You may now leave.
The next day
Where's Ben? Oh guys do you have the research about the Structure of heart?
Oh he's sick, and yes I did some research about that
Me too!!
So you all have 10 mins to brainstorm all your research
CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
-BLOOD VESSELS
Mine is the capillary
Capillaries connect the arteries to veins.
I will talk about the artery and its main function
So they continue to brainstorm, after 10 mins the teacher told them to comeback now
Artery carry oxygenated blood away from the heart
Veins carry the blood back to the heart.
And mine will be the veins, right now we'll just share our thoughts about the type that we'll share
Arteriescarry oxygenated blood away from the heart. Smooth interior layer of epithelial cells that allows blood to flow easily.
Arteries also contain a strong, muscular middle layer that helps pump blood through the body.
Unlike arteries, veins contain valves that ensure blood flows in only one direction.
Veins carry the blood back to the heart. They’re similar to arteries but not as strong or as thick.
The capillaries then deliver the waste-rich blood to the veins for transport back to the lungs and heart.
Capillaries connect the arteries to veins. The arteries deliver the oxygen-rich blood to the capillaries, where the actual exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide occurs.
These vessels transport blood cells, nutrients, andoxygen to the tissues of the body. They also take waste and carbon dioxide away from the tissues. The circulatory system does a very important job in your body. Yourheart and blood vessels is essential to keepingyourbody functioning.
