- The Spaniards Arrive At Festival
- The Spaniards Enter The Patio
- The festival of Toxcatl is the fiesta of Huitzilopochtli which is celebrated by the Mexicas in a place they call the patio of the gods. The Mexicas were enjoying the fiesta, they were dancing, singing and the music was linked to songs that roared like waves.
- The Massacre
- While the Mexicas are enjoying the festival the Spaniards are determined to kill the Mexicas because their religion was so foreign they couldn't comprehend it and they enter the patio armed for battle.
- Outside Of The Patio
- The Spaniards enter the patio and guard the exits so no one can leave and they then surround the Mexicas.
- The Mexicas vs The Spaniards
- After the Spaniards enter the patio, guard the exits, and surround the Mexicas they begin to murder all the Mexicas by stabbing them with their swords.
- When people outside of the patio learned of the massacre inside the patio they shouted for the Captain Mexicas to inform them of the news and to come armed with weapons.
- The Captains quickly assembled and then the battle began. The Mexicas fought back against the Spaniards and attacked them with bows and spears.
