- Ellen is just one example of a woman in New York City who is living in poverty, trying to provide for her family. Food insecurity is a problem every where and plagues the US on a national level.
- How are we ever going to collect enough food and goods to supply the number of people in poverty?!
- I don't know how we will do it, but we cannot give up. The need is so great here in the city, but we have to remember in John 6:1-14 when Jesus fed 5,000 people with fish and bread. We will find a way.
- There are many people outside of the Food Bank, Soup Kitchen, and Homeless Shelter every day. They seek help and guidance on how to survive and live a fulfilling life. Many of these people have children and want to provide for them as best as they can. They continue to search for ways to get help.

- During the challenging times in New York City, many relied on God as a beacon of hope. They remembered to never give up and continue to pray.

- Jayden and Cindy try to help feed families and provide clothes and shelter to the many people in need. However, they worry that there is no way they can feed enough people. There is so much food insecurity in the city, but they believe in God and people in the community. Jayden and Cindy try to keep the Christian faith.
- Jayden and Cindy hold a food drive and clothing donation and they are overwhelmed by the amount of support and donations! Through their advertising, community outreach, and faith in God they ultimately found enough resources to feed the city.
- Finally the people are fed!! Through the help of Jayden, Cindy, and other individuals like them in the city, families and individuals are fed. This is a special moment for the community. This contemporary story, based of the feeding of the 5,000 (John 6:1-14) highlights the importance of caring for the poor, prioritizing the needs of others, and never giving up. These are all things that Jesus emphasizes and practiced through his life and teachings.
