CHAPTER 7Napoleon established the sell of 400 eggs a week to feed the animals. When Snowball comes to the farm, he ruins their plans. The animals are persuaded by Napoleon and Squealer that Snowball's heroism is a part of his strategy. Napoleon kills several animals, by forcing confessions and purges. A substitute song is provided by Squealer, but it doesn't motivate the animals.

CHAPTER 8The animals learn that the Commandment "No animal shall kill any other animal without cause" has been changed after the executions. They attribute this alteration to misremembered memories. Nominated the "Leader", Napoleon starts negotiating for timber. When the animals discover that Mr. Frederick is the timber's buyer, they require payment in cash. After discovering that the money is fake, Napoleon attacks his property.
CHAPTER 9The president, Napoleon, proclamates the farm a republic and organizes spontaneous demonstrations. Moses returns to the farm when Snowball's involvement in Jones's Battle of the Cowshed is made public. When Boxer passes out, the pigs make plans for him to be sent to be killed by a glue manufacturer. Squealer emphasizes the good qualities of Animal Farm, denounces falseallegations, and swears Boxer's death.
