- I'm the president of the United States, I share my power with 50 states.
- One system of government is Unitary, all power is not shared. Example: Canada
- I do not share the power of this government.
- I govern my own state.
- In the confederation system there is a weak central government, states often have more power then central government Example:Confederate States of America

- In a federal system the government shares its power with states and provinces. Example: United States
