- Douglass is working next to a building. and there is a person getting beaten and he just tries to keep working or that might happen to him. after that he felt sad and mad.

- now I was working on a cotton field having to pick cotton or I will get beat or get killed.I and some other people are working but it is the only boy and there is someone watching from far away.
- we set up camp we tried to get a fire going for a while and we finally got it going for the night. then we cooked some food. and then I and its boy laid on some logs and went to sleep.
- we woke up back early in the morning and the fire was out it was all ashes. so the fire did good and lasted for a while because I am still warm and the ashes are still hot. and my friend was gone he went to the field and got up earlier.
- now we are planting something I do not know what it is but my friend is not here. but there are some people in the distance so he might be at a different field at least I'm at the right field and they are still watching us from a distance.
