- Muhammed was a man praying in a cave when an angel named Gabriel told him to keep praying. After that happened, he decided to keep that moment a secret, until he told other people. Since he did that, Mecca did not like him, another city did allow him to stay there until he was allowed back in Mecca. He has spread Islam to many places. He died in June 8th, 632 AD.
- Mecca is where the Kaaba is held and where Muslims have to face whenever they pray. That is the second pillar of Islam. You must also visit it once if you are Muslim for the fifth pillar of Islam. Mecca is the place where Islam was started and spread.
- The five pillars are things that Muslims follow and always do. The five pillars are Shahadah, Salat, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj. Those all translate to Faith, Prayer, Charity, Fasting, and Pilgrimage. You need to believe Allah is the only god for the first pillar, pray 5 times per day facing Mecca for the second, give a portion of your income for the third, not eat for a period of time for the fourth, and visit Mecca at least once in your life if you are Muslim for the fifth.
