Operation Kilo Flight was a famous operation conducted by the Bangladesh Air Force during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
  • Battle of Ajmiriganj, an 18-hour encounter between Mukti Bahini and the Pakistan army. A famous freedom fighter, Jagatyoti Das, is killed. Bangladesh Armed Forces are formed on November 21st. He was posthumously awarded the Bir Bikram, the third-highest award for gallantry, for his role in the freedom movement of Bangladesh.
  • Mitro Bahini takes Dhaka. Pakistan Army surrenders to Mitro Bahini represented by Jagjit Singh Aurora of the Indian Army faction of the military coalition. The leader of the Awami league returned from West Pakistan where he was imprisoned. Every year Bengalis celebrate this day to the fullest as well as showing respect to those who died for our country by placing flowers by the Sreteshod, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
