  • This scene is an example of internal conflict because it is person v self. Candy has to think quick if he wants to allow Carlson to shoot his dog and he is struggling to make up his mind.
  • This scene is an example of external conflict because it is person v person. After George tells Lennie to fight back he grabs Curley's hand and crushes it because Curley attacked Lennie for laughing.
  • This scene is an example of external conflict because it is person v person. The more Curley's Wife struggles the more Lennie panics and pulls harder until he shakes her so hard that she snaps her neck. When Lennie realizes he tries to hide the body in the hay with the puppy so george wont get mad and him.
