  • Where it is red, that is the small intestine. In the small intestine the food and nutrients, it is taken and broken down even more.
  • Yum, some fruits I would love to eat this
  • The food is pushed into the back of the teeth by the tongue. When we chew the food it starts from the mouth, but how does it end up coming out? Well we start by breaking down the food by chewing.
  • What is the digestive system? The digestive tracts starts at the mouth and eneds in the anus.
  • The enzymes are broken into the chemical bonds that hold food particles together
  • In the stomach, food breaks down with liquids. The muscles/walls around the stomach churn the bolus allowing to mix the digestive enzymes#160;and travels to the small intestine.
  • After she stops chewing, the food goes down with the saliva from the mouth. After swallowing the food, it moves to the oesophagus where it takes to the stomach.
  • The small molecule travels through the cell#160;membranes and cells, they can travel through passive diffusion.
  • The large molecules are catabolic reactions which break down to smaller molecules.
  • Once the food/nutrients go through the body and when it is small enough, the body will absorb and move it where they need it.
  • The large intestine is a long tube that absorb water and salts from the substance that hasn't been digested as food, and dispose of any waste products that haven't been digested.
