Hi Annie! Do you know what will be the topic for todays maths class? Its the Pythagoras theorem.Mr.Benson will teach us today.
THE STUDENTS ASSEMBLE IN FRONT OF SCHOOL
Yes, i know Toby,i am also excited, he said he will be giving practical examples. Albert will be also joining us.
Hey Guys, I heard that Mr. Benson is going to teach us the Pythagoras theorem.
Will i get it or not !
Good Morning, students'! So are you all ready for todays class? You will truly enjoy toady's class .Do you know what is the topic.?
THE STUDENTS MEET MR.BENSON AND GET READY FOR THE CLASS
THE PYTHAGORAS THEOREM
Yes, Its the Pythagoras theorem
I think it's easy and simply, I am eager to try out the numericals after the class .
She says its easy ,but for me, will i be able to understand it or do i need to take assistance?
Now pay heed to what i say, According to the Pythagoras Theorem, The square of the hypotenuse is equal to sum of the square of the other two sides. This is applicable only for the right angle triangle
THE CHILDREN ARE ATTENDING THE CLASS WITH COMPLETE ATTENTION.
HEIGHT
Here AC is the hypotenuse which is the longest side.
A
B
BASE
Here BC is the base ,then the other side is the altitude and does it happens only for a right triangle?
C
HYPOTENUSE
Which means AC the whole square is equal to sum of the squares of AB and BC
That was very interesting topic, but it requires a good amount of practice. what about you Albert?
The students are excited about todays lesson which they will learn in maths today. Mr Benson will teach them the Pythagoras theorem.
THE SCHOOL GETS OVER AND THE CHILDREN REACH HOME
Yes, it was interesting but there are some doubts which arise in my mind.
Hi guys, what are you talking about? How did you find todays class?
The Class was fine for me ,but Albert has some doubts in his mind-Albert is asking whether the Pythagoras theorem is applicable for right triangles or not?
The students discuss in general about the topic whether it is simple or tough. They talk to Mr. Benson about the topic and he tell his students that they will follow when he teaches them.
THE CHILDREN AROUND THEIR STUDY TABLE
Obviously, it is only applicable for the right angle triangle Albert,According to the equation AC2=AB2+BC2
O.K. I am getting the jist of it, but what are AC,AB and BC
The students are understanding the concept of the Pythagoras theorem in the class and Mr. Benson is explaining to them the basics of the theorem.
ALBERTS'S DOUBTS ARE CLEARED AND HE IS HAPPY
Its simple Albert, just stay focussed on the sides i.e. the hypotenuse ,the base and the height.
Yes Albert,If AC the longest side is the hypotenuse and AB the perpendicular i.e. the shortest side and if BC is the base then ,square of the hypotenuse is equal to the squares of the other two sides
AC2=AB2+BC2Now i have understood the concept. Now let me go home and I'll try some sums
The Children discuss among themselves about the topic and Albert says that he has some doubts in his mind regarding the topic that was taught in the class.
Annie clears Albert's Doubt once again by explaining him in the format of an equation.AC2=AB2 +BC2.
Albert finally understands the concept and is happy and goes to his home to try out some sums.
