Hello, my name is Dany the giraffe. Today I will help you understand Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection of the giraffe.
Speciation
Competition
Today, on our journey through my comic, I will use giraffes as an example to explain Charles Darwin's theory.
Variation
There are many different types of giraffes, including -Masai giraffe, northern giraffe and southern giraffe.
Adaption
Shorter giraffes struggle to survive because they compete with taller giraffes for food. They may find that shorter plants are edible, but then they will compete with other animals for food.
Natural Selection
The giraffe will adapt to the environment as its neck grows. Giraffes with long necks do not have to compete with many other animals for food.
Giraffes originated from many different forms of animals, including Okapi. Okapi is a form of zebra and giraffe.
Over time, the smaller giraffe will die, and the new offspring will adapt to a longer neck and higher environment than the last generation that died.
