- Once there was a farmer who lived alone in Sumatra. He went to fish in a river one day and caught a beautiful goldfish.
- The goldfish spoke, it spoke!!! This caused the farmer to be so shocked that he became speechless and dropped the fish to the ground.
- Please don't eat me! I'll--I'll stay with you--I'll be your wife if you don't eat me!!
- The goldish turned into a beautiful girl. And promised to become his wife. The farmer only nodded as he was still shocked.
- I must be hallucinating right now...
- Please do not be afraid. I'm also a human-- well I was cursed-- But you saved me! And for that I shall be your wife.
- So they became husband and wife. With the promise of the husband keeping the secret.

- However you must promise me... that you must not tell anyone-ANYONE that I was a fish.
- They worked hard, farming and doing their duties. As time passed, they bore a child: a boy.
- Their child grew and became a mischievous and disobedient boy. And his father started to become annoyed of his son's antics.
