Cassius: Our own soldiers have turned against us.
Titinius: Brutus advanced too early, and we're surrounded by Antony's men now.
Find out whether those troops are foes or friends.
Yes, my Cassius. I'll be back in a moment.
Go, Pindarus. Tell me what's happening.
Pindarus: Oh, my lord. Titinius has been captured!
Cassius and Titinius enter.
I am such a coward to see my friend taken before my eyes. Take this sword that ran through Caesar & kill me. You will be freed upon my death.
Pindarus enters and Cassius asks Titinius a favor. Then, Titinius exits.
Titinius: Oh, Cassius! You misconstrued the sounds of joy and victory as defeat!
Under Cassius's order, Pindarus ascends the hill to see the battlefield and misreads the situation.
Brutus: Oh, Caesar! Your evil spirit is causing the noblest persons to commit such a deed!
Upon Pindarus's conclusion, Cassius orders him to stab him with the same sword that killed Caesar.
After Pindarus escapes, Titinius and Messela enter. They discover that Cassius had misread their victory. After Messela exits to fetch Brutus, Titinius stabs himself with the same sword & dies.
Brutus and other soldiers arrive at the spot.
