- In the battle of Thermopylae (480 BC) Athens and Sparta joined to defend themselves against the Persians. The army of the greeks were defending the pass of Thermopylae and they were lead by Leonidas. The army of 300 soldiers was against the persians that were a lot more. The Persians won this battle and they were lead by Xerxes I.

- It was a naval battle fought between an allience of Greek city-states under the leadership of Themistocles, and they were against the Persians under the king Xerxes I. This battle happened in the 480BC. It was a decisive victory for the once ounumbered greeks.
- This last battle accur in the 479 BC near Platea, it was between the alliance of the Greeks (Sparta, Athens, Corinth and Megara) they were against the Persians leaded by Xerxes I. This battle finished with the result of the Greeks wining and doing once and for all that Xerxes I and his army withdraw.
- Although these victory looked really good, there were cities that were very damaged, like Sparta that after the battle of Thermopylae was very weak. In the other hand, Athens became a very powerful city and they expereinced their golden age.
