- This cold war is dividing the world into 2 parts The West and East. The United States and the Allies are against the communist world which includes the USSR and satellite states.
- Things just keep getting worse , don't they.
- Don't worry. The US, Canada, Great Britain, France, West Germany, and Italy are now together in something called NATO.#160;
- April 4, 1949. NATO comes together
- The Soviet Union is getting so strong. I'm kinda worried, dad.
- It started just last year. The Soviet Union started blocking the Western railway access into Berlin. They wanted to prevent the western powers from supplying Berlin with food and fuel.#160;#160;
- Berlin suffered a lot during that.#160;
- ...Later that day
- Although, the Western Allies were providing airlift supplies to the people in Berlin.
- I heard my friends talking about the Berlin Blockade. What's that?
- 1950.

- My brother fought in the battle of Britain. It's my turn to fight for my country. I'm joining the military too. We have to put an end to all this suffering.#160;
