- The colonists had tried to move more western and ran into French territory this triggered the French and Indian war when Britain had to send their army to help defend the colonists.

- The Townshend Acts are the first taxes on the American colonies. The act included these taxes: the Stamp Tax, Tea Act, Glass taxes, and Paint.

- The Boston Massacre was a dispute between two British soldiers and the colonists as the colonists were annoying and saying mean names and the soldiers acted violently in self defense killing 5 colonists.

- The Boston Tea Party was an attempt from the colonists to destroy the tea because they were angry about the taxes. The Colonists dressed up as Indians and threw the tea off of the ship.
