- In this picture, we see Luna's mother desperately trying to keep her baby. Not pictured in this scene is her husband who let in the elders who took her baby. Because she didn't immediately hand over her baby, they declared her mad and locked her in a tower.
- Luna's Magic is Getting Out of Control
- Luna's magic is more than I thought. It can be dangerous. I will lock it in her until she is 13. Then I will die.
- Antain is an elder in training. This is his first time delivering a baby for the witch. He does not know that the witch is not real and is very distressed that they are not waiting for the witch to arrive. He is concerned for the baby. This traumatizes him to the point that he makes up excuses to not come each year until he decides to no longer be an elder.
- Antain Decides to Save His Baby

- The good witch Xan, comes to rescue the baby. She does so each year. She doesn't know why babies are left there but she takes them in, feeds them starlight, and finds them new homes. When she picked up Luna, she was so enchanted by her, she accidentally fed her moonlight which caused Luna to have magic. She then decided to raise her.
- The Big Meet Up in the Woods
- I didn't know the babies were sacrificed. I thought they were abandoned
- The volcano. is rumbling.....
- Luna's magic is becoming dangerous for all. Luna is too young to understand what she is doing. Xan puts her into a cocoon until she figures out how to block her magical abilities until she turns 13. At that point she will die. She thought she would be able to teach her magic but it in fact made it so Luna goes into a coma like state and she can't even hear the word magic.
- Antain has the youngest baby in the protectorate and he does not want to give him up. The previous year he tried to talk to the witch but it didn't go well and Xan turned into a bird and flew away. He realized the witch is weak ad can be killed. This fills the protectorate with hope. However, his uncle now has to tell Sister Ignatia and she says she will kill him.
- What are you doing boy????? There is no witch. Now I have to have you killed.....

- In this scene, everyone is making their way to the woods. Xan is coming to save the baby, Antain is there to kill the witch. Luna is following her magic to help her grandmother. Luna's mother is following her magic to find her daughter while wearing Sister Inatias boots. Glerk and Fyrian are trying to find Luna. Glerk smells the sorrow eater and is preparing for a fight. Meanwhile, Fyrian is growing and sensing a volcano about to erupt. They learn the truth and have to save the world!
