Hello! Welcome to Mohenjo-Daro in ancient India 5,000 years ago!
The homes in Mohenjo-Daro were small, but they used the roof as an extra room. Like a place to cool off and play with friends.
Some houses had courtyards that kids would play in. some toys the kids played with were pull toys, and figures of animals.
When the Indus people showered they poured clean water onto them from a jar.
They also had a sewer system! once the water was used it flowed out into a drain in the street.
Archaeologists know this because of the paw prints preserved in the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro.
Kids in Mohenjo-Daro had a lot of pets. Some of the pets they had were monkeys, snakes, lizards, and birds.
The Indus people had jobs. The jobs they had were a farmer, a craft worker, a builder, and a person who traded goods.
The Indus people did not use money, they just exchanged goods. They also used seals on things they traded. They used them like lables
