- This scene shows katies personality. katie is crying over her bera-bera so that shows that she is very sensitive. Katie is honest polite, sensitive and listens to lynn and both of her parents which makes her a good child.

- In this scene a dog burst from the field and attacked the girls. Lynn was trying protect herself and her sister. this shows that Lynn is the older sister and looks over her younger sister. Lynn is known to be very smart and she has very good grades.

- n this scene Uncle Katsuhisa wants to teach the girls how to spit. The uncle is a very messy and not organized person . he never thinks before he acts and acts like a "tornado". I think that he is funny and takes a good role in the book.
- In this scene Katie wet herself and everyone was making fun of her but her dad was proud. The father is very smart and is always proud of both of his daughters no matter what. the father plays a huge role in the book by being responsible for his family.
- In this scene the father is telling Lynn and Katie to quiet down because the mother was drinking tea. The mother is a very calm and relaxed person. She is very sensitive to noise and needs her time of peace when she needs it. IN the book it shows that every time the mother is doing something Lynn and Katie have to be quiet.
