Darwin's family
Charles darwin went studying at an university in England, named Christ's College. He stayed there from 19 to 22 years old and this is here that he discovered his passion for sciences.
Theory about the natural selection
At 22 years old, he went exploring the world. He went all around the Australia, South of America, and Africa. He came back to England after 5 years of exploration, in 1836.
There he became a field naturalist and learned to stuff birds, collected insects, especially beetles. He described several species and published a few articles about them. After returning in England, Charles Darwins wrote, in 1839, his first book about his long exploration's discovers.
In 1838 Darwins maried his cousine named Emma Wegwood, they demenaged in 1842 in Down House, a house in countryside where they had 10 children. Charles and Emma have lived there all their life.
In 1859 Charles Darwin wrote one of his most famous book : "on the origin of spiecies". In this book, Darwin presented the scientific theory of the evolution of living species generally from other extinct species, by the effect of natural selection.
