- It is about the Scientific Revolution, and I don´t what it is.
- It was a period of time between the XVI and XVII century that happened in Europe. During these many years many people were investigating the way our surroundings, and even us, work. This intellectual movement made people start using the scientific method, and it made society stop basing everything on the magical-religious knowledge.
- All right, pay attention. The scientific method is a procedure where someone collects and analizes evidence while using inductive reasoning. This method helped people study about what they had doubts about, and it was created by the English philosopher Francis Bacon.
- Wait, hold on. Scientific method? Magic-religious knowledge? What's that?
- And in the other hand, the magic-religious knowlegde is the knowledge based purely on faith without asking for proof, so it is accepted just as it is; this faith can come from books, prophets, divinities or sacred objects.
