- Dong is not with us anymore.
- The film opens with a wedding ceremony of Dong’s son. Dong is one of Chuan’s close friends. Chuan questions Dong about why he doesn’t infuse the Chinese traditional practices into the wedding because it seems too modern and wild in Chuan’s eye.
- RISING ACTION
- LET'S GO UNCLE
- After graduation, Ah Bee returns home, but she brings her foreign boyfriend Benji with her, and the two intends to marry. Uncle Chuan is strongly opposed to marriage.
- CLIMAX
- You are so selfish and heartless.
- Chuan is shocked by the news of Dong’s death. He decides to visit Dong’s family to show his condolence and pay respect.
- FALLING ACTION
- Chuan then realizes that he doesn’t have much time and needs to proceed with delivering her daughter’s wedding. Hence, he and Benji, his son-in-law embark on a journey throughout Malaysia to deliver the invitation card.
- Chuan refuses to visit his friend, Ah-Choo, who has just passed away. According to his traditional belief, he is not allowed to do that. It is due to the reason that funerals and marriages cannot collide (taboo).
- Uncle Chuan wants to finish his late friend’s project and wants to bring his ashes flying on the hot air balloon. So, Benji decides to take action by leading Ah Chuan and his old classmates in creating the balloon.
