  • This picture shows that in the spring of 1776 the Britsh abandoned Boston to go and capture New York.
  • On August 27, 1776, the Americans and British fought in Brooklyn, New York. The Americans were very inexperienced and lost 1,407 men while the Britsh only lost 377 men.
  • In this photo, it shows General Washington telling his troops to never give up, and even though the Britsh were waiting for them to retreat Washington would not tell his troops to retreat.
