  • Excuse me, sir? Why is there nothing provided for me?
  • The government keeps taxing us all ever since you people won the war, of course the consequences came in which resulted in debt, and now we had to pay the price for it. Look, I don't have any care for what you think of me but I certainly would mind if you care to bother or affect us in any physical terms. You could at least help us out instead of being so needy and helpless, just another mouth to stuff my money into that I've worked myself off.
  • You dont think it was tough for me as well!? I may be a little bit new here walking around the city like this but Lucky for you, you don't have to work every single day for your life, sweating yourself, paining yourself, dying and sacrifcing everything just to win the war. It felt like hell, that is the real pain you feel there. I believe the government has every right to tax the colonists who've done nothing but sit in our homes. I believe we all need quite a bit of a break. Don't you think!?
  • Well yes, I do agree with that and I believe its very fair. But everything else except one thing the government is doing. Us colonists felt that we should not pay these taxes, because they were passed in England by Parliament, and not by their own colonial governments. They protested, saying that thesetaxes violated their rights as British citizens. That is what we found unfair.
  • That is quite true. But what do you believe we should do then?
  • Perhaps we can Compromise?
