The year is 1820 where the Missouri Compromise is being proposed by Henry Clay of Kentucky and President James Monroe. Which would later be signed by the president which along with more events led to the south's secession.

- Why good day President Monroe, I have come to propose a new "compromise" regarding if other new states should become free or slave.
- Hmmm, Sure I'll listen to this "compromise" of your. Lets discuss this in my office.
- Well, You know how Missouri is gonna become a slave state? well why don't we just split it up we will call the new state Maine which will keep the balance between the north and south
- And also we make it to where slavery is forbidden north of the 36°30’ N ?
- Hm. yes this seem like a good compromise but we must take this to congress first.
- Now, what is this compromise you speak of?
- Good day congressmen! I have a bill that i need to pass to you called the "Missouri Compromise" is consists of where slave states and slavery are forbidden north of the 36°30’ N.
- Alright we shall go vote for this bill with the rest of congress.
